The Numbers Matter. The People Matter More.

Our Approach

Every business we look at has to make financial sense — that’s not up for debate. But numbers alone don’t tell us whether a business is going to thrive after we buy it.

People do.

We’ve learned, over 20 years, that good people tend to surround themselves with good people. If you’ve built a loyal team, kept customers for years, and run your business the right way, that’s not a side note in our decision — it’s one of the main reasons we want to buy it.

We call this Character First, and it shows up in three ways:

In what we look for. We’re drawn to businesses with strong management teams already in place, loyal customers, and a genuine culture — not just a good set of accounts.

In how we behave. We don’t believe getting a good deal means being difficult to deal with. Straightforward, honest and fair — even when it costs us something — is how we’d want to be treated, so it’s how we operate.

In what happens next. We’re not buying your business to strip it down and move on. We’re buying it to run it, invest in it, and give the people already there — your people — a stable, ambitious home for the next chapter.

A Note On How We Work

We deliberately keep our process lean. Rather than bringing in layers of external accountants and consultants for every stage, we do our own financial due diligence ourselves, as the people who’ll actually be running the business afterwards.

That means fewer strangers in the room, fewer delays waiting for reports to be reviewed by people you’ve never met, and a process that moves at a sensible pace with people who are directly accountable to you.

It doesn’t mean we cut corners. It means the complexity sits with us — not with you.
